Charming Port Royal is a town on Port Royal Island in Beaufort County, South Carolina. Largely because of annexation of surrounding areas, the population of Port Royal rose from 3,950 in 2000 to 10,678 in 2010, a 170% increase.
It offers a quiet lifestyle very close to all the conviences of Beaufort while still remaining a small town community feel.
Port Royal is located due south of Beaufort and just north of Parris Island, is a delightful and large Lowcountry community that combines genuine southern hospitality and living with a trickle of local attractions that will appeal to coastal and outdoor lovers of all varieties.
